On Friday, July 11th, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, USA Swimming, Swim 1922, and Emory University will host a free community swim clinic at the Woodruff PE Center Pool, held on Emory's main campus.
This event is open to all children, regardless of swim ability. The goal of this clinic are to not only improve speed and technique, but also for families to gain knowledge about pool safety in a supportive environment.
This free clinic will feature instruction from elite swim coaches Elijah Ajayi and Olympic medalist Natasha Hopkins and is part of USA Swimming's Catch a Rising Star Program.
The clinic maximizes personalized instruction time with four separate sessions of up to six athletes each. Participants will improve their swimming by learning proper swim stroke cadence, correct swimming techniques and training tips. They will also receive instruction on breathing and core strength, as well as be given individual swimming evaluations.
